I have recently a system installed by Novus Energy that is 5.8kW of panels and the Solarwatt 4.4kW battery system. It is working brilliantly. I hardly use any power off the grid and am pumping lots of power back into it which negates my bill and has even put me in credit. I’m currently getting 10.8c per kW feed in tariff but have found an even better deal from another supplier with a lower daily access charge and better discount on what I do use. Novus Energy are very professional and really know their business. Since I’ve had my smart meter installed, in 74 days I’ve used 63 kwH of power and fed in 1401 kwH .I am way ahead of the game and most of my readings are in winter. This is a system you can trust. I was leaning towards the Tesla battery as it has so much status but am really glad I have this system. Why? The main reasons are that the battery can be drawn down 100% unlike others and that it responds to changes very fast. If a cloud comes over at a time you are using lots of power, this system will revert to the battery almost instantly.
As far as I can determine, this is not the case with most other batteries. It is also a “smart” battery, which means it analyses the weather and your use to optimise it’s performance and charging patterns to both extend battery life and maximise your accessibility to off grid power. I highly recommend this system and Novus Energy.
